Did you know?
The acerola cherry takes its name from the Spanish 'arce cerezo', which means 'cherry of the maple'. The acerola tree was nicknamed 'the health tree'.
The acerola cherry is a small tropical fruit native to the Antilles and Brazil. Bright red in colour, it looks a lot like a cherry but its pleasant, tangy and refreshing taste is more reminiscent of apricot. It is also very rich in vitamin C!
