Raspberry
Did you know?
Greek legend has it that the raspberry, highly prized by the Olympian gods, first appeared on the slopes of Mount Ida in Crete, hence its name: Rubus idaes, literally 'Ida's bramble'. In fact, the raspberry is native to the mountainous regions of Western Europe.
Sensual and fleshy, raspberries have a fragrant and tangy flavour. This small red fruit contains a moderate sugar content which makes it a fruit to be eaten without any guilt!
