Pineapple
Did you know?
A pineapple is actually a collection of berries: each of the eyes (bulges in the skin) is a fruit.
This exotic fruit was for a long time seen as a rare and precious commodity. The plant, which grows to 1–1.5 m tall, bears only one fruit and will take 18 months to produce it.
Rich in manganese and a source of vitamin C, pineapple provides plenty of daily nutrition. For deliciously juicy fruit, we get our pineapples from sunny Costa Rica!
