It was Marco Polo who discovered the coconut in the 13th century during one of his voyages. He called it the 'pharaoh's nut' because it is sweet as sugar and white as milk.

The coconut grows in Polynesia and Southeast Asia. It is a source of magnesium and iron. It can be used in many forms and can be served as food or as a drink.
